Billing
Prepaid credit, what each service is billed for, and what happens when the balance runs out.
Prepaid credit
Teepin is prepaid. You add credit in the console under Billing and Cost Management, by card, bank transfer (ACH) or Link, and your usage draws it down. There are no invoices after the fact and no surprise bills.
What is billed
| Service | Billed for |
|---|---|
| Inference | Input and output tokens, at each model's price per million tokens. The model list shows the prices (pricing on each model). |
| Storage, kept | Gigabytes stored, per GB-month, measured every hour: each hour is charged at the size the bucket had in that hour. One GB kept for a day costs one thirtieth of the monthly rate. Usage shows it in GB-months. A very small bucket is added up until it reaches $0.0001 and then charged in one amount, so tiny amounts are never rounded away. |
| Storage, downloaded | Gigabytes downloaded, per GB, shown as "Object storage downloads" on your bills. Uploads are free. |
Current prices are shown in the console. An inference answer is billed when the model has written it. A request refused with an error is not billed.
When the balance runs out
- Inference requests are refused with
402 insufficient_credituntil you add credit. - Storage is put on hold: your files are kept, but nothing can list, read or download them, and signed links stop working. Requests are refused with
402 storage_on_hold, and the answer'sdelete_aftersays when the held files will be deleted if no credit is added. Adding credit releases the hold at once.
The console warns you when your credit is running low, with an estimate of how long it will last.
Usage
The console's Billing and Cost Management shows your balance, top-ups and usage by service.
